Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project. You will drive systems integration, design coordination, and governance across alliance partners, ensuring safe, compliant design delivery for major rail works.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, chair coordination sessions, and manage interfaces and safety requirements throughout the design phase and beyond.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design, integration and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in contractor-led, design-and-build or alliance delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of design management processes within major rail/infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between Track systems, Main Works Contractors and Alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs across partners and third parties.
• Chair design coordination meetings and monitor progress to meet client requirements and milestones.
• Coordinate technical assurance activities and ensure designs are reviewed and compliant.
• Promote Health and Safety in Design across all disciplines and manage CDM processes.
