Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure programme in the early design phase. You will manage systems integration, design coordination, and safety assurance across multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires leadership in managing interfaces with alliance partners, design partners, and contractors to deliver coordinated design outcomes within the project timeline.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design, integration, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience working within contractor-led, design and build or alliance delivery environments preferred.
• Experience managing design interfaces and spatial coordination in large-scale rail infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interfaces between Track systems, Main Works Contractors and Alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs from design partners and third parties.
• Coordinate technical assurance activities and ensure designs meet governance requirements.
• Promote Health and Safety in Design across all rail systems disciplines and ensure compliance.
