Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland seeks a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase. You will coordinate interfaces between Track systems, main works contractors and design partners, leading spatial coordination and design management.

You will chair design coordination meetings, ensure progressive design delivery to client requirements and standards, and drive health and safety in design, system safety coordination and technical assurance across the

Qualifications

• Experience in rail systems design and integration within large infrastructure programmes.
• Proven ability to manage design interfaces across multiple partners and contractors.
• Strong coordination of multidisciplinary teams and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between Track systems, main works contractors and design partners.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs and manage design clashes.
• Coordinate and oversee technical assurance activities and design verification.
• Promote Health and Safety in Design and coordinate CDM processes across the alliance.
• Coordinate system safety activities and ensure safety requirements are integrated into design development.
