Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to guide integration across HS2 track infrastructure projects in the UK. The role focuses on coordinating interfaces between track systems, design partners, alliance members, and main contractors to ensure timely delivery and governance compliance.

The position requires extensive rail systems experience, leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design and integration.
• Experience in alliance/DB or contractor-led delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of design management processes in rail projects.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary design teams and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between Track systems, Contractors, Design Partners, and Alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs produced by design partners and third parties.
• Chair design coordination meetings and manage design progress against milestones.
• Coordinate Technical Assurance activities and ensure compliance with governance and standards.
• Promote Health and Safety in Design across all disciplines and manage CDM processes.
