Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase. Based from London Euston or Birmingham, you will coordinate interfaces between Track systems, Main Works Contractors, design partners and alliance members to achieve cost and schedule goals.

You will lead spatial coordination, design management, and technical assurance, chair design coordination meetings, monitor progress, and ensure safety and system safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience in rail systems design and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in contractor-led or alliance delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of design management in major rail projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between Track systems and alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination and manage design deliverables across partners.
• Facilitate design interfaces, governance and risk reviews.
• Ensure safety and system integrity through design lifecycle.
