Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Radiology team working as a Radiology Assistant.

You will be based at Airedale General Hospital, and will provide annual leave and sickness cover at our community hospitals.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week including weekends, evenings and your fair share of Bank Holidays.

Main duties of the job

To assist the Radiologists, Radiographic and Nursing staff in the smooth running of the DXA, Mammography, Plain Film service, Ultrasound and interventional work over all the Airedale sites if required. This will involve greeting patients, changing them into gowns, assisting with the procedure, giving personal care to patients, for example toileting, processing images, undertaking necessary clerical work and liaising with wards and clinicians.Mentoring students as and when required.

The role is patient focused, service driven and varied.
