Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a UK-based Radar Instructor to support sensor systems operations. The role covers development, delivery and assurance across the training product lifecycle, with operator and maintainer courses at Fareham and Gothenburg and at customer sites globally.

The ideal candidate has radar/electronic systems experience, teaching background, willingness to travel up to 3 weeks per event, a UK driving licence, and eligibility for National Security Vetting at SC level.

Qualifications

• Experience of radar, communications or sophisticated electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Technical customer-facing environment with problem-solving and leadership.
• Willing to travel within UK and globally (up to 3 weeks per event).
• Full UK driving licence.
• UK or Swedish citizenship; National Security Vetting to SC level or ability to gain.
• Qualified to ONC/HNC level or equivalent experience.
• Previous military experience or exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses on sensor systems.
• Administration and reporting of training events.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems to enhance training.
• Solicit, analyse and respond to student feedback.
• Provide SME input to sensor publications.
• Support demonstrations, trials, exercises and market growth activities.
