Job summary

Saab UK seeks a Radar Instructor based in the UK to support the sensor systems portfolio, delivering operator and maintainer courses at sites in Fareham, UK and Gothenburg, Sweden, with opportunities for global assignments.

You will develop educational material, contribute to technical publications and assist in demonstrations, trials, and market growth activities. A UK driving licence and SC-level clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of radar, communications or sophisticated electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Previous experience in a technical customer-facing environment, demonstrating problem-solving and leadership in a high-pressure environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel within UK and globally; up to 3 weeks per training event.
• National Security Vetting clearance required to SC level.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses on various sensor systems.
• Administration and reporting of training events.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems to enhance training.
• Solicit, compile, analyse and react to student feedback.
• Provide SME advice on system and software development.
• Provide input into sensor technical publications.
• Support demonstrations, trials, exercises and market growth activities.
