Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a UK-based Radar Instructor to deliver operator and maintainer training for sensor systems at sites in Fareham and customer locations worldwide. You will develop educational materials, provide SME feedback on publications, and work with UK/Swedish colleagues to meet customer needs while travelling (up to 3 weeks per event).

The role requires radar/electronic systems experience, teaching capability, a UK driving licence, and the ability to obtain SC-level security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in radar, communications or sophisticated electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK and globally (up to 3 weeks per training event).
• Must have UK or Swedish citizenship and be able to obtain National Security Vetting clearance to SC level.
• Qualified to ONC/HNC level or equivalent in a technical area.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses on sensor systems.
• Administer and report training events.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems to enhance training.
• Collect and analyse student feedback and provide SME input on system/software development.
• Support demonstrations, trials and exercises and contribute to technical publications.
• Develop, create and maintain educational material for Saab UK sensor system portfolio.
