Overview

Quantity Surveyor - Stockton on Tees. My client is a technical engineering solutions provider who require a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to work on multiple projects across the North East & Nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity surveying duties for projects the company secures.
• Ensure the correct administration of the contracts the company undertakes.
• Ensure that programmes are maintained and submitted in accordance with the contract.
• Ensure the timely submission of cost, forecast and valuation data to your seniors.
• Understand & implement QA policies of the company.
• Undertake general and contractual administration for the company.
• Represent the company in professional and diligent manner at all times.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, utilities and associated organisations.
• Represent the company to senior managers of client organisations.
• Good knowledge of relevant legislations, standards, regulations, guides and good practise.
• To have knowledge of and compliance with relevant procedures and standards.
• To contribute and assist, as required by the directors.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a Quantity Surveying / Cost setting.
• Electrical sub contract experience (desirable).
• Some experience in a Project Controls (desirable).
• Mentoring and working with colleagues, sharing knowledge and experience.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Communicate and present in a professional manner, both written and verbally.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership and work well in a team.
• Actively demonstrate initiative and able to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently.
• A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent, lifelong learning.

Salary: £65K
