We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial delivery on a major public-sector social housing contract. This role involves overseeing cost control, subcontractor procurement, and payment management across multiple live sites, ensuring strong commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial aspects of social housing works
  • Procure and appoint subcontractors
  • Administer payments, valuations, and final accounts
  • Forecast costs, manage budgets, and report financially
  • Handle variations, change control, and cost recovery
  • Ensure compliance with public-sector requirements
  • Collaborate with site teams and clients to mitigate risk
  • Proven Quantity Surveyor experience in construction or maintenance
  • Strong subcontractor procurement and payment management background
  • Exposure to social housing or public-sector frameworks
  • Commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Confident communicator and IT-literate
  • Experience in social housing refurbishment or maintenance
  • Familiarity with eVision or similar systems
  • Previous work on long-term public-sector frameworks

Working Pattern: Site-based preferred, hybrid considered.
