Overview

Employer's Agent/Quantity Surveyor - London. A close-knit and ambitious Quantity Surveying consultancy seeks an Employer's Agent/Quantity Surveyor to join the team in West London. Hybrid working available.

Role and responsibilities
  • Deliver Employer's Agent/Contract Administration duties for new build residential projects for Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Private Developers.
  • Support Pre-Contract Surveyors and procure necessary consultancy services to develop a project to planning submission/tender.
  • Prepare robust and accurate tender and contract packages and undertake various forms of tender processes.
  • Analyse and review Contractor/Developer and Designer proposals and prepare the Building Contract.
  • Act as Employer's Agent for project delivery, including chairing progress meetings and producing minutes.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative duties on delivery under JCT, Design and Build, Bespoke Development Agreements.
  • Provide routine reports on time, cost, and quality to the client; manage handover and post-completion activities (end of defect period inspections, final account agreement, auditing the Building Manual).
Requirements / Qualifications
  • BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or RICS-accredited degree
  • MRICS or working towards
  • Experience within a private practice / consultancy
  • Strong pre- and post-contract knowledge
  • Excellent attitude and teams player; able to mentor junior colleagues
