A regional Main Contractor in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This permanent role offers a salary between £50k and £60k, along with a competitive package including car allowance and healthcare. A regional Main Contractor with a busy pipeline of work across Cambridgeshire is looking to grow its Commercial team due to new projects secured. The business works across the Mixed‑Use, Residential, Education and Healthcare sectors. The successful candidate will be joining the business to work on a project valued at c£5m.

With a clear structure and programme in place for employees’ personal development, this role is a very good opportunity for a surveyor to lead their own projects in a collaborative team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage daily commercial management functions, including measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts and dealing with sub‑contractor orders and enquiries.
  • Oversee the project through to practical completion of the project and settlement of final accounts.
Desirable Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor or large developer/house builder.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Use of JCT or NEC Contracts is essential.
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or a comparable qualification.
  • Previous roles: Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Project QS or Trainee Quantity Surveyor.
