TMUK Lincoln are looking for a key individual to join our Operations Team in Firth Road, Lincoln as a Quality Inspector and Machinist.


This is a hands-on role in which the successful candidate will work closely with the Production and Engineering teams to develop and machine new parts and ensure that both incoming and new machine parts meet the required quality standard.



Responsibilities


  • Inspection of incoming and internally machined parts using engineering drawings and equipment.

  • Using measuring equipment such as micrometres, Vernier’s, plug gauges, screw gauges, ring gauges.

  • Identify and work with production and engineering to resolve any quality issues.

  • Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.

  • Preparation of First Article reports for incoming and internally machined parts

  • Responsibility of running and programming the Haas CNC Mill, modelling Lathe and Mill

  • Liaising with Engineering, Production & Quality across sites in order to provide an effective machining service.

  • Provide technical guidance on machining principles, techniques and capability.

  • Ensure that PM checks on all equipment are carried out to schedule.

  • A good understanding of drawings and geometric tolerances.

  • Good understanding of component drawings.

  • Experience in a similar role.

  • High accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

  • Experience in quality inspection both visual and mechanical.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internal and external to the company.

  • Prior experience using an CNC Machine ideally Haas.

  • Strong use of computer skills to ensure traceability is maintained.

  • Ability to carry out all tasks in an accurate/timely manner in line with required timescales and deadlines.

  • Experience or knowledge of AS9100.
