Overview

Job Title: Quality Inspector

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a strong understanding of engineering standards, and solid hands-on inspection experience within a precision manufacturing environment.

Mon–Thu 06:30–13:00
Fri 06:30–11:30

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out in process (first off and patrol) inspections of machined and fabricated components.
  • Work to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards, ensuring all parts meet specification.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and symbols accurately.
  • Perform component inspection using both manual and mechanical measurement tools, including micrometres, verniers, gauges, callipers, and CMM devices.
  • Calibrate and maintain a range of hand inspection tools such as verniers and micrometres.
  • Use height gauges for precision measurement (experience desirable).
  • Review and interpret customer specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage and control inspection equipment and gauges.
  • Conduct goods inwards and visual inspections, maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Support weld inspection as required (experience desirable).
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace in line with good housekeeping practices.
  • Work effectively within a small inspection team, reporting to the Inspection Team Leader.
  • Be flexible to work across different shift patterns in line with business requirements.
Desirable Experience
  • Proven experience with CMM inspection.
  • Previous exposure to weld inspection.
  • Quality inspection experience gained in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
