Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

Role Overview

To own and manage the product complaints system and provide administrative support to the quality assurance department.

This is a Maternity Cover of up to 12 Months fix term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide a primary point of contact for the sales team.
  • Manage the complaints database responsible for the documenting, investigation, reporting and communication of complaints and relevant information.
  • Work with the wider QA team to inspect & test returned items.
  • Generate technical reports. Work with the QA team to investigate and root cause product quality issues (8D etc).
  • Generate weekly complaint reviews for management.
  • Control of time sheets and HR requests.
  • General office duties including booking staff holidays, arranging training with L&D and communicating team briefs.
  • Input and review of QA inspection data.
  • Filing and control of inspection documents.
  • Updating QA documentation upon request, including SSW, RA, internal specifications etc.
  • Populate the HSE folders with requested information and documents.
  • Contractors / engineers permits to work.
  • Recording and circulating meeting minutes.
  • Collection and recording of internal product nonconformance reports.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out whilst complying with all measures introduced by the company with respect to Health, Safety and Environment.
  • In particular to comply with all procedures, safe working methods and practices and agreed rules to protect you from health and safety as well as others that may be affected by your actions, or omissions.
  • To fully support the Health and Safety and Environment Policy, as laid down in the Company procedures.
  • To comply with the policies and procedures as laid out in the Polypipe Drivers handbook.
  • To comply with the policies and procedures as laid out in the Substance Misuse Policy.
Skills & Requirements
  • Knowledge of H&S and Environmental requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Product Specifications (internal & external).
  • Be self motivated and have the ability to make decisions on own initiative.
  • Be reliable and trustworthy.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Be fully aware of the company rules and procedures as laid down in the company employee handbook.
