Job summary

A manufacturing company in the UK is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead 8D problem-solving activities and support quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the field, a qualification in engineering, and knowledge of AS9100 and FAIRs. The Role
  • Leading 8D problem‑solving activities for internal and supplier complaints, from initial containment through to verification.
  • Supporting goods inwards quality containment activities.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement actions.
  • Supporting supplier audits and performing internal audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant quality and aerospace standards.
About You
  • Suitable qualification in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (HNC, Degree, HND).
  • 5+ years' experience working in Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance within manufacturing.
  • Full knowledge of AS9100 Rev D.
  • Experience producing FAIRs to AS9102 Rev C.
  • Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, SPC, metrology/inspection methods, and 8D methodology.
  • ASQ certification (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
