Job summary

A leading Defence and Aerospace company in Belfast is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure high-quality standards within their manufacturing processes. The role involves guiding quality assurance teams, developing documentation, and analyzing non-conforming products. Candidates should have experience in the Aerospace or Automotive sectors. This is a 12-month contract position, offering £31.90 per hour inside IR35.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an Aerospace/Automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to support related quality activities like 8D problem solving and PFMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Guide Product Quality Control and Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Develop and maintain Quality documentation and procedures.
  • Collect and analyse data on non-conforming products.
  • Support MRB/CAB activity.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers regarding Quality Assurance.
  • Control audit programmes and conduct audits.
  • Develop and introduce quality initiatives.

Quality Engineer

12 month contract, based in Belfast, offering £31.90ph Inside IR35.

Are you an experienced Quality Engineer? Do you have experience working within an Aerospace/Automotive manufacturing environment? Do you want to work with an industry-leading company? If your answer to these is yes, then this could be the role for you!

As the Quality Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing.

Responsibilities
  • Providing guidance and delegation of tasks to Product Quality Control and Quality Assurance Engineering personnel
  • Developing and maintaining Quality documentation and procedures
  • Collecting and analysing data on non-conforming products to enable corrective action to be taken
  • Supporting MRB/CAB activity
  • Preparing and maintaining Quality product, First Article Inspection Report, Inspection, and MRB delegation plans
  • Liaising with internal and external customers with regard to Quality Assurance requirements
  • Arranging and controlling audit programmes, including carrying out internal and external site audits
  • Development and introduction of quality initiatives
Skillset
  • Awareness of APQP and able to support related activities, e.g. 8D problem solving, PFMEA, and Control Plan development
  • Data analysis skills – interpret data sets, graphical data, and draw conclusions
  • Work well as part of an integrated team alongside operational and cross-functional team members
  • Quality or engineering-based background within a major manufacturing industry
