The Role
To ensure the quality and safety of all our products, working closely with Operations across the site to maintain standards and drive improvement, using positive behaviours, taking accountability to ensure that only the best products reach our customers and therefore ensuring the repeat business of the companies that we rely on, but protecting the customers Health & Safety at all times.
Hours: Monday to Friday 3pm - 11pm
Pay: £14.67 an hour
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience of conducting internal audits within a food factory (desirable)
- Experience of working within a FMCG Company in a QA capacity (desirable)
- Knowledge of Technical procedures and practices relating to internal auditing
- Knowledge of microbiology and hygiene
- Knowledge of pest control
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook
- Key attention to detail

Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled/planned internal audits including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), HACCP Critical Control Points (CCP) and Control Points (CP), glass register, etc.
- Responsible for auditing documentation related to the production process to ensure accuracy and raising any identified issues with relevant departmental heads.
- Carry out verification checks at set frequencies for in-line checkweighers, scales, and temperature probes to ensure proper operation.
- Monitor and verify that standards specified in product specifications for intermediate and finished products are achieved.
- Investigate consumer and customer complaints, communicating findings to Technical Management and appropriate factory personnel.
- Conduct traceability exercises according to the required schedule.
- Perform environmental manual temperature checks as per the required schedule.
- Collect retained samples and maintain QA sample shelves in an orderly manner.
- Prepare, conduct, and supervise daily taste panels, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed and raising any issues with Production and Technical Management.
- Collate all process control documentation on a shift basis for sign-off, maintain filing systems, and report all issues to relevant line leaders or area supervisors.
- Conduct swabbing and sampling according to risk-assessed schedules and ad hoc requirements to support investigations.
