A leading academic institution in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to oversee academic programmes. This part-time role allows for flexible working and requires strong organizational skills, an undergraduate degree, and experience in academic administration. Responsibilities include advising on course regulations, servicing committees, and maintaining academic policies. This role focuses on quality assurance processes for the Department's academic programmes. Key features include advising course directors and their teams on academic regulations for new courses and course changes, servicing the Department's main academic committees, maintaining registers of policies and guidelines, and servicing course reviews.
This is a part‑time (0.6 FTE) position, available on a permanent contract, with scope for flexible working.
You will be extremely well organised, and able to work independently while contributing to different teams. You should be able to assimilate and communicate complex information and have proven experience in servicing committees efficiently and effectively. Educated to at least undergraduate degree level, you will ideally have experience of working within academic administration in higher education, and prior work with academic regulatory frameworks would be especially helpful. You should also be proficient in office IT applications, have excellent interpersonal skills, and have a flair for producing concise, accurate and informative formal documents.
