This is an exciting new full‑time position within the 7 Early Interventions services across Greater Manchester, the EDIT Teams and the Greater Manchester University Student Mental Health Team. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
Responsibilities
- Work within the senior leadership team across CAMHS, Early Intervention and GM University teams, partnering with nursing and quality leads.
- Be a visible, accessible and authoritative presence in practice settings where staff, service users and their families can seek assistance, advice and support.
- Act as a role model to support teams in providing excellent, best‑practice quality of care to service users and carers.
- Support the HoNQ and HR staff in developing strategies that ensure the workforce is competent, confident and safe, delivering recovery‑focused services to maximise outcomes.
- Review and monitor quality outcomes for teams in conjunction with the HoNQ.
- Ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to monitor quality and performance against service, network and Trust objectives, influencing positive change when required.
- Manage the process of change, challenge resistance and negativity, and articulate a clear vision for meeting service needs.
- Formulate and implement clinical practices and procedures as required.
- Work with others to develop local strategies supporting national agenda goals.
- Collaborate with senior clinical staff to ensure risk assessments and management plans are current.
- Promote the Mental Health Act Code of Practice and ensure compliance with Act requirements.
- Monitor incidents, themes and lessons learned, sharing learning across the service.
- Conduct serious incident review briefings, chair reviews of care and participate in investigations within identified timeframes.
- Facilitate a learning culture with Operational Managers, Service Manager and Care Group Leads, encouraging shared learning across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure high standards of care delivery, monitoring clinical outcomes and service effectiveness.
- Maintain clinical practice and development in line with evidence‑based best practice.
- Oversee local CQUIN/CQC inspections and performance measures within the service.
