Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Quality and Practice Lead to support our work to continuously improve the quality, safety, and efficacy of mental health services within Mental Health Matters (MHM). Providing practice leadership, this role will ensure that practices and decision making meet high standards of support, compliance, and satisfaction; working closely with our operational managers and National Clinical Lead.

Main duties

Quality Assurance and Improvement

  • Provide professional leadership and coaching to colleagues delivering mental health support services
  • Support the peer reviewing of MHM's Quality Self-Assessment Process, including delivering action plans to drive continuous improvement of operating models, standard operating procedures and practice
  • Chair reflective group supervision sessions with teams to support practice improvement and outcomes for people accessing services, in line with MHM values
  • Develop and lead a programme to establish communities of practice to share best practice and capture evidence of impact
  • Support the implementation of our co-production strategy to ensure its objectives are delivered at individual, service, organisation, and system levels

Job responsibilities

Location: Flexible (with travel) | Salary: £38,397 - £42,723 | Contract: Full-time, 12-month Fixed Term

Working alongside operational leaders and our National Clinical Lead, you will support operational quality assurance, reflective practice, co-production, and service improvement. This is a pivotal role where your expertise will shape practice, enhance outcomes, and ensure our services meet the highest standards.

  • Provide professional leadership and coaching across services

  • Facilitate reflective supervision and communities of practice
  • Drive co-production, data-led decision-making, and impact measurement
  • Support service model alignment with best practice and national guidance
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed continuous improvement

About You: A deep understanding of mental health systems and best practice; experience in quality assurance, reflective practice, and co-production; excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills; commitment to person-centered, evidence-based care.
