An opportunity is now available for a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join our well established Optician.

Job Overview

Working alongside your team of Optical Assistants and 2 Optometrists you will be managing the clinics and leading the store and team providing patients with cost effective optical products and a superb customer experience

You will undertake the day to day management of the store ensuring the right ethos and culture is maintained and developed.

Duties

• Assist all types of customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on prescriptions and style preferences
• Conduct precise fittings to ensure comfort and functionality of eyeglasses
• Utilise your knowledge to educate clients on lens options and frame features
• Manage single to double testing clinics, ensuring smooth workflow and patient satisfaction
• Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure accurate lens preparation and timely delivery
• Maintain a well‑organised dispensary and manage administrative tasks efficiently

Experience

Previous experience in optical dispensing is required

Familiarity with laboratory processes is a plus
