A regional healthcare provider in Gateshead seeks a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to deliver high-quality diagnostic services across multiple sites. Candidates must hold an accredited biomedical science degree and embody innovative and adaptable qualities. Full participation in an extended working pattern is required, providing a dynamic work environment focused on staff development.
The South of Tyne Pathology Service is an established consolidated network with laboratories across three sites, servicing Gateshead and South Tyneside/Sunderland trusts. An opportunity has arisen within the Biochemistry department for a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to work across the three hospital sites. Applicants with an accredited biomedical sciences degree but not HCPC registered may be considered if they meet the personal specification. Our department has state of the art equipment and a strong training ethos to support staff development.
Main duties of the job
The clinical laboratory team provides a High Quality Specialist Diagnostic Service to improve the Health Care of the people of South of Tyne and Wear. The post holder will further develop knowledge and skills in a range of specialist diagnostic techniques within Biochemistry across three sites.
Successful Candidates Will Have
The posts will be on Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust terms and conditions of employment. Full participation in the relevant Department's extended working day, rotation across all three laboratory sites and the out of hours service is a mandatory requirement following suitable training.
