Job summary

A healthcare organization based in Aberystwyth is seeking an Art Therapist to deliver one-to-one and group therapy sessions. Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one and group Art Therapy sessions to adult service users and their adult carers/family members.
  • Evaluate and implement high quality specialist Art psychotherapeutic work, including providing an efficient, effective comprehensive psychodynamic Art Psychotherapy service for adults with diagnoses of life-limiting illnesses and end-of-life care.
  • Assess and formulate therapy plans, including working with anticipatory grief and limited bereavement support where necessary; refer to relevant services as needed.
  • Develop and co-ordinate the Art Therapy service in Ceredigion.
  • Contribute to the ongoing programme of training for staff arranged by the palliative care team.
  • Supervise Art Therapy students.
Qualifications

Welsh language experience is desirable for this post. If you do not meet the Welsh Language requirements specified, the Health Board offers a variety of learning options and staff support to help you meet these minimal desirable requirements during the course of your employment with us.
