Job Title: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Tutor Trafford

Location: Trafford (community-based or in-home sessions)

Pay Rate: £25 - £30 per hour

Job Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours

About the Role

Prospero Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to deliver personalised tutoring sessions in the Trafford area. This role involves working 1:1 with students to support their academic development in a range of subjects, with a focus on tailoring sessions to meet individual needs. If you're passionate about helping students unlock their potential and boost their academic confidence, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored lessons in a range of subjects, adapting content and delivery to suit each student's learning style.
  • Support students in building academic confidence and achieving their learning goals.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and motivating learning environment to enhance student engagement.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to parents, guardians, or professionals.
  • Develop and implement structured learning plans, with flexibility to adjust for the individual needs of each student.
  • Maintain positive communication with students and their families, ensuring all educational needs are met.
Essential Requirements
  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have experience in delivering 1:1 tutoring.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching or tutoring.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to work independently and manage flexible tutoring schedules.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working with learners with additional needs (SEN), such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring students at GCSE level.
Additional Information
  • Sessions are typically conducted during school hours, with some availability for after-school or evening sessions.
