A UK / EU leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced and proactive QA Supervisor to support their flagship site in Greater Manchester. This hands‑on role is crucial in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and compliance across production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of 10–15 QA technicians and auditors during the AM shift.
  • Oversee daily QA operations, including audits, process checks, sampling programmes, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, BRCGS standards, HACCP, and customer‑specific codes of practice.
  • Analyse QA data, trends, and KPIs to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Production, Technical, and Operations teams to embed a strong food safety and quality culture.
  • Support internal, third‑party, customer, and regulatory audits, including preparation, execution, and reporting.
  • Manage non‑conformances, complaints, and stock on hold to maintain site compliance.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, projects, and policy updates, balancing shop‑floor responsibilities with analytical reporting.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in QA or technical roles within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food legislation.
  • Experience in audits, complaint / non‑conformance investigation, and report writing.
  • Organised, hands‑on, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
