Overview

Job Title: QA Laboratory Technician

Are you passionate about microbiology and quality assurance? Do you thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment? LloydsClinical in Harlow is looking for a dedicated and meticulous QA Laboratory Technician to join our team!

Job Purpose

As a QA Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our aseptic compounding unit. Your primary responsibilities will involve participating in our environmental monitoring program and performing microbiological identification of contaminants.

Key Accountabilities & Activities
  • Conduct viable and non-viable environmental monitoring using various techniques to ensure a sterile environment within the compounding unit
  • Quantify microbiological isolates and perform Gram staining and other identification tests.
  • Conduct fertility testing on process simulations to ensure product quality.
  • Oversee the temperature monitoring of storage areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of QA activities and perform data entry for trending environmental monitoring data.
  • Perform routine cleaning and QA documentation checks.
  • Participate in training and key task assessments as needed.
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as required by the QA Laboratory Manager.

Please note there will be a requirement for physical activity within the role including periods of standing, bending and lifting.

About You
  • Essential:
    • GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science or equivalent
    • BSc in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Microbiology
    • Experience working in a microbiology laboratory
    • Excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills
    • Ability to focus and meet tight deadlines
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in a GMP environment
    • Experience in aseptic manufacture
