Your purpose will be:
The Purchasing Supervisor oversees the daily acquisition of all hotel supplies, equipment, and services while maintaining strict adherence to Fairmont’s global brand standards and ethical sourcing policies.
Job Description
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals and budget constraints
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company
- Oversee the entire purchasing process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with department heads to determine purchasing needs and forecast demand
- Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and supplier information
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations
- Coordinate and conduct regular inventory audits with storeroom personnel
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for purchased goods and services
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality supply
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations in procurement practices
- Drive Accor’s ESG goals by selecting eco-friendly vendors and identifying opportunities to reduce waste in the supply chain
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and cost savings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
- Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems
- Relevant experience in a similar capacity within a hotel or facilities management environment
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with brand standards
