Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting for a Work Coach in the Northeast England region, based on-site in Peterlee. You will work with customers face-to-face, helping them access Universal Credit and other benefits while guiding them to sustainable work.

You will deliver tailored coaching, build relationships with customers and partners, maintain caseloads, and ensure compliance with the Equality Act.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing public service or welfare benefits.
• Ability to explain job search actions clearly to diverse customers.
• Commitment to equality and inclusive support.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to customers claiming benefits and job search assistance.
• Offer quality advice on job search actions and match to vacancies.
• Ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
• Build positive relationships with customers and partners.
• Develop knowledge of local employment opportunities and service partners.
• Manage caseload and make timely decisions as part of performance duties.
