Overview

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our well-known Wales-based client to recruit for a Public Sector Procurement Manager.

Purpose of job

Be the focal point for the procurement offering, assessing, and reporting on clients' requirements to continually improve the services offered. Engage with companies to ensure that they fully understand the needs of users in procuring projects both in a general sense and on specific projects. Provide full range of call off support to all users throughout their building programmes or individual projects. Develop and improve on your knowledge of construction and building materials sector in England to provide information to the team on key economic and social drivers. Ensure compliance with public sector procurement legislation and provide guidance to colleagues, clients, and appointed companies.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Experience of undertaking regulated procurement of goods and/or services on behalf of Public Sector organisations
  • Understanding of best practice procurement
  • Knowledge of the Public Sector Procurement Regulations in England and Wales
  • Proven experience working with e-tendering platforms, including the creation, management, and distribution of procurement documents, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and internal processes.
