Job Summary

Elvet Recruitment have been appointed to recruit a Public Liasion Officer for a regional civils and housing contractor, to work within their sites in the Leeds area.

This is a perfect opportunity for a highly motivated individual to serve as the primary point of contact for the public and key stakeholders affected by our ongoing construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about customer service and community relations. The project involves major redevelopment works in a busy public area, designed to enhance infrastructure and improve public spaces.

Main Duties
  • Act as the main point of contact between the construction team and the public.
  • Handle enquiries, feedback, and complaints from residents, local businesses, and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate public consultations, briefings, and site visits.
  • Develop and distribute communication materials explaining the works, timelines, and impacts.
  • Liaise with local authorities, councils, and community groups.
  • Monitor public sentiment and identify opportunities for engagement and improvement.
Skills and Experience
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • At least 2 years' experience in a customer service or administrative role (essential).
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with updating customer service websites (desirable).
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (desirable).
  • Previous experience in communications, PR, or marketing (desirable).
