A leading healthcare organization is looking for a Public Involvement Adviser to enhance community engagement in the development of health guidelines. This role involves managing stakeholder engagement, and supporting diverse communities to ensure their voices inform NICE's decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare settings, potent negotiation skills, and a postgraduate qualification. The position offers flexible working arrangements and is based in Manchester, UK.

We are looking for a passionate and committed public involvement and engagement specialists to join our People and communities team. Come and help us ensure that the voices of people with lived experience, their carers, families, and the voluntary and community sectors organisations that support them inform and influence the recommendations NICE makes.
We have one permanent role and one fixed term role (until 31 March 2027) available.

The public involvement advisers will join a passionate and experienced team, working on a portfolio of activities to engage and involve people and communities in the development of NICE guidelines, medicines appraisals and healthtech evaluations.
The public involvement advisers are responsible for identifying and supporting people who use health and social care services, carers and the public, and organisations representing their interests, in a range of NICE guidance. This includes project managing stakeholder engagement, lay member recruitment and support, and providing advice and training to various audiences. They will also contribute to the strategic development and promotion of patient and public involvement at NICE.
The public involvement advisers will play an integral part in delivering programmes of work to support our 3-year strategy for involving and engaging people and communities at NICE. They will also play a key role in supporting NICE's broader transformational aims and strategy.
The People and Communities team advises on and supports opportunities for involving people who use health and care services, their families, carers, communities and the public across all NICE work programmes. We work with people and communities, and voluntary and community sector stakeholder organisations to ensure that people's lived experience informs and influences NICE's guidance, standards and advice.
