Buckingham Futures is working on an exciting opportunity with the Public Health Team with a local authority in West London. We’re currently recruiting for two interim Public Health Officer positions that play a vital role in improving health outcomes for local residents.

This is a dynamic and multifaceted position supporting work across three core domains:

Health Improvement You’ll lead initiatives that promote healthier lifestyles—such as smoking cessation, physical activity programmes, and NHS Health Checks—while addressing broader socio-economic factors like housing and environment.

Health Protection You’ll contribute to safeguarding the population from health threats including communicable diseases, environmental hazards, and emergency preparedness. This includes supporting immunisation and screening programmes.

Healthcare Public Health You’ll help improve healthcare services by focusing on outcomes, service quality, and evidence-based practice. This includes contributing to Joint Strategic Needs Assessments and developing care pathways tailored to Hillingdon’s population.

Key Responsibilities
