Job responsibilities

Applications are welcomed from experienced nurses; some experience of working within a community environment is beneficial. A preceptorship programme is in place and you will be well supported by your manager and colleagues. You will be valued in your role and receive opportunities for personal and professional development, with regular appraisal, clinical and safeguarding supervision.

  • Essential:
    • Registered Nurse (Adult/Child)
    • Evidence of recent professional development
  • Desirable:
    • Mentorship Level 6
    • Modules at level 6 - Public Health Related
    • Solihull Approach trained
    • Motivational Interviewing trained
    • Immunisation training
Experience and knowledge
  • Essential:
    • Knowledge of Public Health Priorities
    • Knowledge of child development
    • Knowledge of safeguarding issues and working with vulnerable families
    • Understanding of role within the Public Health Team
  • Desirable:
    • Two years post registration with 12 months community experience
    • Experience of data collection for reports
    • Previous experience or working in a community environment
