Psychology Teaching Assistant

Location: Bolton

Contract: Full-time and temporary

Premier Education is looking for a Psychology Teaching Assistant to join one of our long-standing client secondary schools in the Bolton area this half‑term on a long‑term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Educational Psychologist to gain hands‑on experience working in a fantastic school and be supported by a positive and influential leadership team.

About the role

• Support on a 1:1 or small group basis across different KS3, KS4 and KS5 year groups
• Responsible for supporting the delivery of engaging activities and providing individual or group interventions
• Creating a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal development
• Work alongside experienced staff in the school's provision
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure pupil progress
• Participation in staff meetings, CPD, and wider school life as required

Candidate requirements

• A good academic background i.e. Psychology or core subject degree. Alternative backgrounds such as HLTA or Level 3 qualifications will also be considered.
• Experience supporting pupils across KS3, KS4, KS5 settings is desirable
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
• A reflective, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching

Pay

£444.00 - £500.00 per week (dependent on experience and qualifications)
