A large transport company in Southall is seeking a qualified Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician to join their team on a full-time basis. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing public service vehicles, alongside handling the pressures of a busy workshop environment. Ideal candidates should possess an NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and hold a full UK driving licence. Experience in a similar role is essential, and a commercial licence is advantageous. Qualifications

  • Possession of a full UK Driving licence is required.
  • Holding a Commercial Licence would be an advantage, however driver training can be provided.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Experience as a Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • General service, maintenance and repair of public service vehicles.
  • Cope with the day-to-day pressures of a normal vehicle workshop.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT presentation.
  • Correct running defects.

Salary: £57,744 per annum (£26.44/hr)
Hours: 4 on 4 off - Days
Location: Southall

A great opportunity for a skilled Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician has come up for a client of mine in the Southall area. My client, a large transport company with a sizable depot in the Southall area are looking to recruit skilled Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer on a full-time basis.

Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer Duties:
  • General service, maintenance and repair of public service vehicles
  • Cope with the day-to-day pressures that a normal vehicle workshop brings
  • Vehicle inspections
  • MOT preparation / Presentation
  • Correction of running defects
Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer Skills Required:
  • Possession of a full UK Driving licence is required
  • Holding a Commercial Licence would be an advantage, however driver training can be provided
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
