Service Care Legal are working with a well-established, multi-office and Lexcel-accredited high-street law firm in the Romford area seeking a Residential Property Legal Assistant / Paralegal. This is a permanent opportunity within a busy and growing conveyancing department, offering stability, progression and a supportive team environment.

Role

Legal Assistant – Residential Property

Location: Romford

Salary: £28,500 to £30,000 per annum

Full office based during probationary period.

Responsibilities
  • Providing hands‑on support on residential conveyancing matters, with regular client contact and responsibility for progressing files
  • Managing conveyancing searches, Land Registry applications, engrossments and associated legal documentation
  • Assisting with matters from exchange of contracts through to completion, including post‑exchange requirements
  • Working full‑time, office‑based, as part of a friendly and experienced residential property team
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in residential property within a legal environment (essential)
  • Strong technical conveyancing knowledge with the ability to work independently when required
  • Confident handling exchange, post‑exchange and completion stages of residential transactions
  • Highly organised, personable and client‑focused, with excellent administrative skills
