GOVAN

£12.82 PER HOUR

Our organisation was established in the mid-70s with the goal of providing outstanding social care for individuals with diverse support needs. We're dedicated to placing the people we support at the forefront of everything we do and providing customised care that suits their specific needs. Our core values of Life, Justice, and Community drive us to make a positive impact on people's lives.

TMF is delighted to confirm that on 1st April 2025 it joined Enable, one of Scotland's leading charities who has been championing the rights of individuals for over 70 years. Enable's mission is to work for an equal society where everyone has the right to live, work and participate in the communities of their choice. Across the charity's three pillars, they deliver self-directed health and social care support with Enable Cares; employability and training services with Enable Works; and community projects and campaigns with Enable Communities.

Hi, I'm Max and I live in De Paul House. Having a full flat to myself, which is one of the 9 flats, in the project gives me my own space and I have the option to come to communal areas if I want to, so it is a good balance.

As a young adult who has experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, including separation and loss this at times has caused me to display what others see as challenging behaviour. I would like to grow and gain independent living skills which include managing money, shopping and cooking skills, managing my health, building my training and employability skills and addressing any addictive behaviours.

To achieve this I would like someone to support me by helping me to access resources like mental, physical and sexual health services, create budget plans and weekly shopping lists, help me keep my flat tidy and laundry up to date, access addiction services, offer me weekly flat checks and monthly key sessions and support me to recognise my own potential and self worth through self‑esteem building achievements.

Are you ready to make a real difference to me and people like me?

To ensure 24 hour support is provided to the people we support the role of project worker does include sleepovers, weekend working and shift work which includes a mixture of early and late shifts.

About You

As Project Worker at De Paul House you will pose excellent communication and organisational skills as well as the ability to adapt approach to each person we support to ensure a person‑centred and trauma‑informed practice. We are looking for someone who is genuinely driven to improve the lives of young adults and who is able to see that every behaviour is a form of expression and can by gaining a nurturing relationship help to breakdown barriers and support a young adult to build strategies to manage emotions. You will need resilience, compassion, empathy, patience, humour, boundaries, consistency and to feel passionate about supporting young adults to thrive and go through their own journey to independent living.
