A local government authority in Greater London is seeking 2 Project Officers to support and manage projects within the Children’s & Education Portfolio. Ideal candidates will have public sector project management experience and a commitment to improving outcomes for children's well-being. Positions are full time with opportunities for career advancement in a diverse and inclusive environment.

To help deliver that vision, we are recruiting 2 Project Officers who will support our work on managing and delivering projects across the Children’s & Education Portfolio. These roles will support the delivery of large scale / complex projects and lead smaller projects that focus on early intervention and prevention in children’s social care, health and education and special educational needs.
The roles will be based within the Children’s Integrated Commissioning Service. The Children’s Integrated Commissioning Service is the architect of a system that supports our children to thrive. We don’t just manage contracts; we design the entire network of services for children and families. We bring together health, education, social care and VCS partners to work as one, ensuring every child gets the right help, at the right time, in the right way.

You will have experience of supporting the implementation of projects and programmes and using project management tools and techniques- ideally in a public sector context.
You will have an understanding of programme and project management methodologies and the practical application of these in the public sector.
You will be organised and self‑motivated with a good attention to detail and the ability to work to fast‑paced deadlines.
You will be committed to improving outcomes for Hackney’s children and young people.
