A major Civil Rail Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Network Rail Frameworks, Bridges and Structures projects in Bristol. This role requires strong project delivery skills, leadership, and experience within the Civil Rail environment, overseeing projects worth between £15-£40 million. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and proven experience in similar civil rail projects.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager on Civil Rail projects.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Valid Full UK Drivers licence.

Project Manager – Network Rail Frameworks, Bridges and Structures – Civil Rail – Bristol

A Major Civil Rail Main Contractor are looking for a Project Manager to join our Rail sector, overseeing an exciting projects in Bristol including Network Rail Frame works from £15-£40m, Bridges and Structures.

The Project Manager will require a knowledge of tendering as well as project delivery experience within the Civil Rail Environment.

Key Duties include:

  • Responsible for the business results of the project
  • Project organisation and definition and regulation of responsibilities
  • Communicate all project requirements to the project team
  • Set and agree challenging stretch targets for all team members
  • Establish communications with Client/Representative
  • Organize the flow of information between the whole integrated project team members and third parties
  • Implement the management system within the project team
  • Lead HSQE management
  • Approve Project IMS Plan and appoint duties
  • Evaluate opportunities and risks
  • Organise planning management
  • Establish procurement deadlines
  • Review and revision of contract programme
  • Establish works packages
  • Cooperate in the awarding of contracts to sub contractors and suppliers
  • Contract management and supervision of project progress
  • Responsible for project controlling
  • Change management process
  • Identify and coordinate training requirements
  • Represent the project to internal stakeholders with period commercial and delivery reporting
  • Collaborate in the recruitment of staff
  • Identify and coordinate training requirements

What we are looking for

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager on Civil Rail projects
  • Project Managementexperience
  • Excellent leadership and tendering skills
  • Valid Full UK Drivers licence
