Overview
A respected, privately owned construction contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of redevelopment projects that include major façade and building-envelope packages. Main Purpose
- Manage all construction activities from pre-start to final handover on complex refurbishment schemes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee projects that feature significant façade elements, coordinating with specialist contractors and ensuring compliance with all Building Regulations and Golden Thread Gateway 1-3 requirements.
- Provide strong leadership to site teams, supply chain partners, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for day-to-day management of site operations, programme, and cost control.
- Develop and maintain robust project programmes, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Lead on Health & Safety, ensuring strict compliance with statutory obligations and company policies.
- Coordinate closely with the Design Manager, commercial team, and external consultants to ensure buildability and value engineering.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and performance, including specialist façade/cladding packages.
- Chair regular progress meetings and produce accurate, timely reports for senior management and the client.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and act as the principal point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaborative working.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven track record as a Project Manager delivering refurbishment or mixed-use projects that incorporated major façade or cladding packages
- Good understanding of Golden Thread Gateway 1-3 requirements relating to Building Regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, planning, and sequencing for refurbishment and live-site environments.
- Thorough understanding of CDM regulations, health and safety legislation, and quality management.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level), First Aid at Work;
- IT literacy (MS Project/Primavera or similar, Word, Excel)
