Job description

We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in investment banking operations and treasury settlements to lead technology-driven change initiatives, with a key focus on platform implementation and the industry-wide move to T+1 settlement cycles.

The role will involve managing complex, front-to-back projects that require strong collaboration across business, operations, technology, and regulatory teams. The successful candidate will deliver system upgrades, integrations, and process automation that enable compliance with T+1 timelines while enhancing operational efficiency and control.

Skills & Experience
  • Strong project management experience in investment banking operations or treasury, with a track record in technology/platform implementation.
  • Deep knowledge of trade lifecycle processes, clearing & settlement, treasury funding, and collateral management.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering T+1 readiness, settlement efficiency, or regulatory-driven technology change.
  • Hands‑on experience with settlement platforms, treasury systems, or core banking technology (e.g., SWIFT, CLS, Calypso, Murex, Kyriba, Finastra).
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with proven experience working across business, operations, and technology teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
Desirable
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certification).
  • Prior experience with system migrations, cloud‑based treasury solutions, or API integrations.
  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks impacting settlements and treasury (e.g., CSDR, CASS).
  • Experience working on global, cross‑border transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology and platform implementation projects, including vendor selection, system integration, and migration.
  • Drive T+1 settlement readiness initiatives, ensuring operational, technology, and control frameworks are enhanced to support shortened settlement cycles.
  • Partner with operations, front office, technology, risk, compliance, and finance to define requirements, align priorities, and implement solutions.
  • Develop detailed project plans, manage budgets, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of key deliverables.
  • Implement automation and straight-through-processing (STP) solutions to reduce manual intervention and settlement risk.
  • Produce clear project documentation, reporting, and governance packs for senior stakeholders and steering committees.
  • Ensure robust business readiness, training, and transition to BAU for implemented systems and processes.
