A leading infrastructure firm is seeking a Project Manager for their M25 Highways schemes. This role involves end-to-end project management from design inception to close-out. Candidates should have significant project management experience, preferably supported by a recognized qualification, and a strong understanding of Highway or Structures Engineering. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders are essential. This is a full-time role located in Leatherhead, UK.
The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200000 vehicles per day and its a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels so it requires high levels of performance constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.
Weve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and looking for a Project Manager to look after M25 Highways schemes on behalf of the client (Connect Plus/National Highways) of renewal and/or improvement projects from design inception to close out following construction project types varying from structures tunnels highways and technology across the M25 network.
Engage in the Collaborative M25 Community including Balance Scorecards forums and workshops as required; support the delivery of the business sustainability activities and business plan objectives; live the Connect Plus values; work arrangements include travel required to CPS/supplier offices on the M25 network three days a week with periodic requirement for site visits; obtain full driving license.
Project Management Experience preferably supported by recognised Project Management qualification APM PMQ PRINCE2 APMP etc; preference of minimum degree qualification and membership of appropriate professional institution or working towards such qualification; broad skills knowledge and understanding of Highway or Structures Engineering and associated design areas; knowledge of CDM and other H&S and Environmental legislation related to Highway Engineering; knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of contract; personal attributes: proactive problem solving; excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong safety management culture; ability to prioritise and self‑manage; self aware and adaptable style to meet varying project needs; demonstration of commitment to ongoing personal development via CPD; good organisational skills.
