Job description
What to Expect

The Project Engineer will be responsible for working across the various functions within the Motorsport organisation to ensure the on time and successful delivery and support of our Motorsport vehicles.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee the engineering release, and introduction of new parts and systems (Development and production).
  • Work with the core business teams to support Engineering Release and Change Control processes.
  • Work with Engineering & Production operations to lead the design and development of systems and to ensure optimised vehicle performance.
  • BoM creation and maintenance, as well as assembly structuring within ERP systems.
  • Manage the recording, root cause analysis and resolution of all concerns raised during all stages of development, pre-production builds, as well as all faults reported by customers.
  • Maintain design guides, technical specifications as required.
  • Provide support for CAD related design and drawing updates as required.
  • Work closely with Design Engineers to fulfil technical, commercial, and timing targets (DFM, FMEA etc.).
  • Liaison with Development Engineers to understand system performance and development requirements.
  • Liaison with Suppliers to support manufacturing quality and production concerns.
  • Ensuring compliance with technical and safety regulations appropriate to our products, as well as preparing and submitting homologation documentation to regulatory bodies as required.
  • Creation and maintenance of all Customer Technical Documentation relating to our products. Manuals, Bulletins, and all technical communications both internally and externally.
  • Training and supporting customers in procedures and best practices.
What You'll Bring
  • Educated to degree level in an engineering or motorsport discipline.
  • Previous experience in a motorsport or OEM environment.
  • Commercial awareness, understanding of 'Business case', profit etc.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to support and lead a small focused team to work cross functionally.
  • Race car engineering experience preferred.
  • Able to adopt a creative & thoughtful approach to concept design and problem solving engineering problems with good attention to detail and an engaging mind, open to new problems outside of their normal comfort zone.
  • Well organised and delivery focussed - with demonstrable track record of on-time delivery in a high pressure environment.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, travel requirements and adaptability to multiple and changing priorities.
