Overview

Project Engineer - Manufacturing Design - Implantable Medical Devices - Cambridge

An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing Medical Devices division and contribute to the development of innovative Implantable Medical Technologies. We are seeking a Senior or Principal Project Engineer with experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, focused on designing production and manufacturing systems within the Medical Devices, Biotechnology or Sciences industries.

Responsibilities
  • Support design teams across multiple functions with a focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Build prototypes and test new rigs to ensure medical devices function correctly and can be manufactured efficiently.
  • Engage in designing, building, and testing systems, as well as maintaining production machinery.
  • Lead various projects as they arise and collaborate effectively within teams depending on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Medical Devices divisions; apply knowledge of ISO 13485, QMS and GMP as required.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
  • Experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering with 3D CAD design and a background in maintaining production machinery.
  • Experience in designing production systems within Medical Devices, Biotechnology, or Sciences industries.
  • Supply Chain experience is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to engage across functions and provide leadership in project delivery.
