Job summary

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee a major water infrastructure and earthworks programme. The successful candidate will ensure safe and timely project delivery, provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team, and maintain strong client relationships. Key qualifications include significant civil engineering project experience and Chartered Engineer status. This position offers up to £130,000 salary plus benefits.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in delivering large-scale Design & Build civil engineering projects.
  • Experience within the water infrastructure or major infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience managing major projects (£80m-£150m+).

  • Providing overall leadership and direction to the project team.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact with the client's senior leadership.

Position: Project Director

Location: South East

Salary: up to £130,000

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a major water infrastructure and earthworks programme on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor. This long-term project involves the design and construction of large-scale water assets, complex earthworks, highways interfaces and environmentally sensitive works.

The role requires a proven leader capable of driving project performance, engaging collaboratively with stakeholders, and ensuring safe and successful delivery across the full lifecycle of a multi-year Design & Build scheme.

Project Director Job Overview
