Job title: Project Developer

Location: UK & Ireland

Who are we recruiting for?
Our client is a UK-based, award-winning developer of utility-scale solar and battery projects. With an assured pipeline of multi-GW projects across the UK and Ireland, and the strong backing of a leading global asset manager, they are moving confidently into construction and operations. This is a unique opportunity to join a vibrant and successful renewable energy company at a pivotal stage of its growth.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading large-scale solar and BESS projects through the full planning process, including Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and other planning regimes

  • Driving community consultation and engagement with local authorities, statutory bodies, and stakeholders

  • Overseeing design development, land acquisition, and environmental assessments

  • Coordinating external consultants, technical advisors, and legal teams

  • Managing project schedules to secure consent and successful handover into construction

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Qualified professional with a proven track record in renewable energy project development (solar, wind, or storage)

  • Experience with the DCO/NSIP process is highly desirable, though experience in other complex planning frameworks will also be considered

  • Strong stakeholder management skills-brave and assured in navigating regulatory and community challenges

  • Evidence of delivering large-scale projects (100MW+) through to consent

  • Motivated and committed to long-term project delivery (4-5 years plus)
