Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Project Design Engineer, you ll be crucial in developing high-quality, precision engineering designs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of transforming 2D drawings into detailed 3D models and has a keen eye for detail.

  • Create 3D Engineering Design drawings, including assembly, arrangement, manufacturing, and installation plans.
  • Convert existing 2D historical drawings into 3D models using Inventor AutoCAD, updating them in line with current manufacturing procedures.
  • Conduct equipment surveys and measurements to produce accurate manufacturing, procurement, and installation drawings.
  • Perform site inspections to fabrication facilities during manufacturing and conduct final inspections, updating drawings as necessary.
  • Select and procure standard OEM parts, including obtaining quotes and specifications for bought-in parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Ensure effective communication of design and manufacturing arrangements with relevant department leaders and managers.
  • Maintain up-to-date project files, design notes, and supplier orders, including costs.
  • Site visits for surveying, meeting with clients.
  • Procurement of materials and subcontractors.
  • Cost controlling.
  • Handle general administration tasks, including answering calls, making enquiries, and ordering standard equipment.
  • Address supplier and client enquiries as appropriate.
