Job summary

Serco Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Specialist Progression Coach to support unemployed participants with long-term health conditions, mental health conditions, or disabilities to move towards sustainable work.

You will manage a caseload, deliver one-to-one coaching, CV help, and job searching, and build links with local employers to create inclusive opportunities. This fixed-term, full-time role offers a salary of £31,000–£32,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Understanding challenges faced by people with disabilities or long-term health conditions when seeking employment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload with tailored coaching and support throughout employment journey.
• Complete holistic needs assessments and develop personalised support plans reflecting goals and needs.
• Identify barriers to employment and connect participants with appropriate health, wellbeing, training and support services.
• Deliver one-to-one coaching including CV support, job searching, interview preparation, and confidence-building activities.
• Build relationships with local employers to identify inclusive employment opportunities and support participants into suitable roles.
• Promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes while ensuring services comply with contract requirements and quality standards.
